This is a planning estimate, not a quote. It fixes thickness at 6 inches (the consensus spec for a parked, stationary RV or boat load) and scales a published national RV/boat pad cost range against your square footage. It does not include base excavation/compaction, site access work, permit fees, or curing time before you can park on it.
Where these numbers come from
Thickness and reinforcement are fixed at 6 inches with 4,000+ PSI concrete and rebar — the consensus spec repeated across RV-pad-focused contractor guides and RV-owner forum discussions of pad requirements. That's thicker than a standard driveway because a parked RV or boat trailer puts a heavy, concentrated, stationary load on one spot rather than the rolling load a driveway sees, so it needs a different spec than the code-minimum 4-inch driveway slab on our Concrete Driveways page.
The cost range is scaled from a published national concrete RV pad cost range of roughly $1,800–$7,200. We convert that into a per-square-foot band (about $8–$16/sq ft) and apply it to your exact square footage, with a floor near the low end of the published range so a very small pad estimate doesn't fall unrealistically low. Volume is standard concrete math: length × width × (thickness in feet), converted to cubic yards, plus your chosen waste/overage percentage.
Limitations: the published $1,800–$7,200 range reflects typically sized pads — a very large custom pad (say, for a large Class A coach plus a tow vehicle) can reasonably estimate above that ceiling, and a tiny pad can estimate near the floor rather than strictly below it. This tool doesn't know your base soil condition, site access, distance from the road, permit costs, or whether you need site clearing/grading first — all of which change the real price. It is a planning range based on publicly reported cost data, not a quote from us or any specific provider.

A stationary, heavy load like a parked RV or boat trailer needs closer to the full 28-day cure, not the 7 days that's enough for a passenger car on a driveway. Park too soon and you risk denting or cracking a slab that hasn't reached full strength.
Confirm the truck can reach the pad site
